Becoming Friends with Clients - To Do or Not To Do

Right before I sat down to record this episode I received a message from someone who asked about how to navigate (as a coach) the relationship with clients so that they client doesn’t experience confusion around the boundaries of the relationship.

In such relationships sometimes a friendship does develop. Other times we work with someone who was our friend first.

Sometimes a client may believe there is a much stronger friendship present than the coach believes to be present and vice versa.

In this episode we’re diving into being a leader in your relationships with clients who may have been a friend before, during, or after a business relationship formed.

06:10 - no more mean girls

14:00 - observations and tips from the coach/service provider side

30:12 - your clients need to experience 4 different parts of you

37:45 - some examples from my husband, Shawn

42:50 - observations from the client's perspective

51:26 - when a friend becomes a client
